A Tale of Three Foreigners

Sooo....this week. We had divisions this week (that´s when our District Leader and us switch comps for a day so he can see how we work and get to know our investigators. Both companions have to spend a day with him.) and usually in divisions ALL the appointments fall through and we end up doing contacts for 4-5 hours before we find a member to visit. BUT!! When my DL was with E´ Riera on Friday, they went to an investigator´s house to teach the first lesson, and the rest of his siblings wanted to join in and want to continue participating in our discussions!! A whole family has ¡¡cualquier ganas a escucharnos ahora!! (the desire to listen now). Sorry...I speak Spanish when I get excited haha

Also, when I (a gringo) was with my DL (who is from Mexico), we were doing contacts and met......a German! Of all the places for these three countries to meet, who´d have thought it would be in a tucked-away house in the vineyards of Chile! Haha. Those are the moments that qualify as a journal entry :)

So, there´s a good collection of new photos and videos this week :)

And a few more random things:

Elder Holland is going to be here to speak to us on Novemeber 13th, so I´ve been reading his last few Conference talks to prep. Here´s a few quotes I found: "Don´t assume you can fix everything, but fix what you can"; "Though we may feel like we are ´like a broken vessel´...we must remember, that vessel is in the hands of the divine potter"; "If thou canst do anything...If thou canst believe" (belief = faith = action, Am I doing everything possible to better my situation?)

Saturday night I was making a sign for English Class, (from Mom: who knew he taught English classes?!) and I asked my comp to make sure I spelled everything right. He asked how I knew so well when and where to use accent marks. So I gave my Latin comp a Spanish lesson :) Hahaha, that was seriously the funniest thing ever!!

Aaaand, can I get a copy of the no-bake cookies recepie? :D

I think that´s about all for this week.... :)

Lots of love,
- Elder Daylon Crider

I hate public transport - no leg room :(

It reminds me of someone (smart boy, now all the women in his life think it's them!)

Lunch!! aka heart attack on a plate: fries, sausage & sour cream, it looks like
